This week in Churchfields it has been science week,it has been very busy and exciting
Rotation Day
This week on Tuesday 31st of March it was science rotation day, there were no normal classes which means no work. Every teacher taught a different lesson for each class.
Mrs O'riordan did:Magic colourful goo and putting a stick through a balloon without popping it (some people did it!)and to find the difference between two different types of coke,1 was diet and 1 was regular coke. I enjoyed getting my hands green and gooey.
Mr Cullen's groups tested which kitchen roll was the most absorbent. There were 5 different kitchen roll (tesco standard, recycled,Tesco value,blitz and plenty). For most of us the most absorbent was plenty.
Miss Humphrey's Group did :Going to the new Ict suites With the new computers and keyboards on a new game called crystal rain forest V2 it was fun!!!!
Miss DeNapoli's group made volcanoes using a plastic cup, vinegar and baking powder. We investigated if an object can be a solid and a liquid at the same time. It was hard but worthwhile.
Redbridge Mini Games
On Wednesday 1st of April Chuchfields participated in the redbridge mini games.It was a Brilliant Day,The Athletics did very well they came 4th out of 9 schools.Churchfields Participated in 5 events and did extremely well in all of them!
Lego Len
This term we have been investigating about the angel of the north. 6DN did an amazing job and were the upper school winners. Congratulations to all the people in 6DN for contributing for the display.
Year 6 Breakfast
On Wednesday 1st Of April around 150 people came to eat there healthy breakfast which everyone really enjoyed Yum!
Cookies and smoothies
On Wednesday 6DN and 6R maths sets made cookies and smoothies for the whole of the school. During playtime we sold the smoothies and cookies.
