6DN's Fab Class Blog

In 6DN we have been doing a dance in P.E. , called the Haka! The Kiwi's (people from New Zealand) performed this dance to scare their oppenents off, before a game of rugby.Miss De'Napoli thought we did so well, she let us perform the Haka in Lower and Upper school assembly! Mrs Wood (Samantha's mum) painted our faces on performance day. She got some pictures off the internet and copied the face paint onto our faces. 6DN thought that they were scary, and I think we scared the Y3 's a bit (oops) !

A few weeks ago, we went to Dover Castle in Dover. We also went to the sea-front to make videos about coastlines and the White Cliffs of Dover. We had our lunch near the pebble beach, a few minutes later we got on to the coach to go up to Dover Castle. Fourteen people from each class, went to the World War 2 Tunnels. The others looked around the Castle. It was a very tiring day when we went to Dover Castle. We got back at 4:30pm to be collected.

6DN also do a run a couple a times a week to keep fit. We walk around the playground, then we run around the field a couple of times. After, we have a cool down lap around the field to catch our breath and stretch.

We also did plays from a story called Pyrimus and Thisbe. Pyrimus and Thisbe is originally from a Midsummer Nights Dream written by Shakespeare. 6DN really enjoyed this activity. We got to make our costumes at home.
